please be gentle.
Jacinda Rogers
painter. muralist. maker. lover.
Drawing since childhood, painting since college and loving since birth. Creating art as a means of play and exploration has been a steady theme in their life. From portraits to still lives, abstraction and back. Jacinda’s art evolves over time as do they. Unbound to correctness and excited to stumble towards whatever lies ahead.

wrapped in warmth
The majority of Jacinda’s body of work to date is made up of an ongoing series of abstract paintings. These paintings translate ideas around love, connection, perception, self, reflection and so on into simplified forms. A way of processing Big Feelings TM, greeting them with openness and trying to find understanding.
In this series, and in most of Jacinda’s work overall the viewer is met with warmth. An abundance of warm neutral tones project grounding and comfort as well as imply a naturality to the subjects at hand. A sort of comfort that is ever present even as many pieces relay conflict and tension.
